Far infrared saunas are beneficial to good health in many ways. Unlike steam saunas which warm the body from the outside in using steamed heat, far infrared saunas heat the body from the inside out. They are able to heat the body to a higher temperature using less heat than regular steam saunas. They use infrared rays that penetrate 1-1 1/2 inches into the body, which provides many great health benefits, including the following:

The far infrared sauna also includes an option of chromotherapy. Chromotherapy, or color therapy, uses seven different colored lights that emit different energies or frequencies to help treat various issues, as listed to here (right hand side of page). The sauna also has a radio/CD player if you choose to listen to music during the sauna session.

Green aids with heart functions including blood pressure. It is the color of balance, as it is considered neither a warm nor a cool color. Green is harmonious and helps purify and cleanse the body. It is good for de-stressing and trauma relief.
Blue is relaxing and calming. It can have an anti-inflammatory effect and strengthens the immune system. It helps build the skin and aids in good communication. It is a color most often associated with healing and helps with stress relief.
Indigo has a calming and sedative effects on the body. It helps fight high blood pressure, asthma, anxiety, headaches as well as anger and aggression. Indigo also strengthens intuition and insight.
Violet helps calm the heart and stimulates immunity. It is good for meditation, stress relief and aids people with sleep difficulties. It is also associated with spiritual matters and self-healing.
